Christmas in Florida with GMa

Brad, Brady and I went down to Florida over the Christmas Holiday. We had a great 6 days despite some unfortunate situations. Brad and I ended up in urgent care due to an illness we both came down with, but after some medicine we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. We also learned that Brady's dad, Doug, passed away. My heart breaks for Brady that we will never truly know his dad, but I am so thankful that he has Brad in his life to take over that role and guide him. Thank you mom for having us and helping out with Brady. Brady had a great time and loved that he had an early morning buddy to hang out with. GMa even took Brady to a movie while Brad and I were able to play a round of golf. It was a nice break and we were able to enjoy our time together.

We were able to capture some of the many fun things we did throughout the week. I am looking forward to heading back down to Florida in 3 weeks to play in a golf tournament with my mom!

Naples

We took one day to head down to Naples to visit with the Tyrrells. It was a chilly day so we went to the Botanical Gardens and walked around. They had a great area for kids to play in. We then went down to the docks and had lunch and looked at the boats.

Brady found a house where he could sweep and clean. My anal cleanliness is rubbing off on him.

Day at the beach

Brad, Brady and I headed to the Fort Myers beach for one of the mornings we were in Florida. Brady braved the cold water and enjoyed building a sand castle. The weather was perfect and sunny (Don't worry... I had my sunscreen on)

Our little golfer

One of Brady's Christmas presents were these adorable Taylor Made golf clubs from GMa. Brady was so excited to have real clubs. We took him out back to try them out. After a couple of practice swings he was able to make contact. I think we have a future golfer on our hands :)

Brad tried out the clubs as well. At least he did not lose a ball with these clubs. That is a first for him.

Practicing together. Not sure who got more out of the practice session

We headed up to the club and practiced on the putting green next

Brady even got a 30 minute golf lesson from Tim, one of the assistant pros. Brady impressed all of us with his attention span and willingness to learn. I think he would have been out there all day if we would have let him.

We went out in the golf cart after all this practicing and were able to see some alligators on the golf course.

Christmas Morning in Florida

We all woke up on Christmas morning to find that Santa had indeed snuck in the back patio door and left us all many presents. He also had eaten the cookies and drank the water Brady and GMa left out for Santa. Brady must have been an extra good boy this year. He was lucky to have received so many presents.

Christmas Eve Party at the Potts

We were invited to a great party on Christmas Eve at Julie and Steve Potts. The Crown Colony crew had a great time celebrating and were buzzing with Christmas spirit.
