Happy Easter

We had a great Easter this year. The weather was amazing and we were surrounded by great family and friends.

Brady's first Easter egg hunt was in the playground at his school. I went to watch him in action. He had a lot of fun finding eggs, but really was not interested in what was inside. The eggs were filled with candy and for whatever reason my child still does not like chocolate or any candy for that matter.

The Pre-K and Pre School classes lined the fence waiting patiently for the hunt to begin

Brady so proud of all his eggs he found

Saturday afternoon we dyed some eggs on the deck with Steph

Brady had fun dropping all the eggs in cups and watching them change colors

Our beautiful superhero eggs

On Easter Sunday we were invited over to the Friel household for a delicious meal. After Brady and Kate headed outside for another egg hunt. We are so grateful to have such amazing friends and we are proud of Kara for her achievement of converting to the catholic faith. Good work, Saint Matilda :)!!

Brady and Kate stop for a picture. Kate was more interested in what was in her egg.

Pella Expo at Royal's Sadium

Last week Pella Windows and Doors put on an Expo for their remodel/construction clients. We went to represent Pioneer Custom Builders and enjoyed some food, drinks and fun games.

Brady had his turn with his little legs going as fast as he could. He ran his little heart out :)

Rob joined in the fun as well representing Munson Construction

Brady decided he wanted to try out the batting cage. After a ball came flying at him he quickly changed his mind. He was a cute little batter nonetheless.

Brad hitting some home runs

Brady loved playing on the playground.

Brad had to try and throw as hard as he possibly could (would you expect anything less?)

We then headed over to the mini ball field where Brady enjoyed running the bases

Health Ridge Triathlon

Brad and Steph participated in the Health Ridge Indoor Triathlon at our Fitness Club. Both did very well. Brad was 1st in his age group and 4th overall while Steph was 4th in her age group. Steph has since been diligently training for her next competition. She will be doing the Heritage Park sprint distance triathlon in May. We can not wait to go cheer her on.

Brad getting ready for his 250 meter swim. He finished with the fastest swim time of all the participants.

Brad's fan club. Brady was enthralled with watching Brad on the bike. Kate was more interested in following Brady around.

The 2 mile run was the last of the three events.

Now it is Steph's turn

Rascal Flatts

We were able to have a great night on the town and go see a Rascal Flatts concert with some great friends, the Friels and the Roses. Thanks to Aunt Steph for babysitting for the night!

Crown Colony Golf Tournament

Back in February I had the opportunity to go down to the Florida and play in the member/guest golf tournament with my amazing mom. I certainly did not play well, but we had fun nonetheless. It was nice to have the week with my mom. She and Kitty did a great job as the co-chairs for the tournament.

Here we are all bundled up in our golf gear. It was unseasonal cold in Florida for the tournament.

We had a surprise spectator on one of the tees. A little unnerving having an alligator staring at you on the tee box.

Snow Days

As spring has arrived I have decided it is long overdue to post some winter wonderland pictures. This has been a very long cold and snowy winter in the Midwest this year. Brady does not seem to mind though. He enjoys playing in the snow and has successfully learned how to make snowballs. Brad took Brady outside a few months ago and they created the Pioneer Custom Builder Inc. Frosty the Snowman. Luckily there is no more snow in the forecast this spring and we are looking forward to the sunny 70 degree weather predicted for next week.
